Job Description

Ealing Fostering Recruitment finds foster carers for local children, who are unable to live with their families. These children come from many different ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. When a child needs to leave the family home they will first be placed with a foster carer and later will either return home or move on to permanently live with a long-term foster carer or adopter.
Recruiting foster carers has never been more challenging and we need to proactive and creative to find more people in the local community to become foster carers for Ealing, to look after the children in our care.
Ealing Fostering recruitment currently has an opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator to join the team for a permanent position.
The post entails, but is not limited to:

  • Working with the service to identify, plan and deliver marketing campaigns to increase both awareness of fostering and the number of foster carers for Ealing Council
  • Planning, organising, executing and attending events and meetings, both public and internal. Helping to plan, prepare and implement publicity events and campaigns around recruitment for foster carers.
  • Contributing to the research, analysis of data and writing and production of a range of publications, newsletters, leaflets, profiles and other materials for marketing purposes.
  • Managing and developing the fostering recruitment website, including blogs and news, and social media accounts including producing regular posts and improving engagement and followers.
  • Working with a number of different services, teams, senior managers and stakeholders.
The successful applicant will need to be able to work on his or her own initiative, be enthusiastic, committed and enjoy a challenge. There will be regular supervision offered.
The post holder will require:
  • Experience of working in the public sector
  • Experience of working in a marketing role
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of social media and websites
  • Confident at liaising with colleagues and managers at all levels
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Be confident in public speaking and giving presentations
  • Be able to spend time out in the community on a regular basis
  • Be flexible and hands-on
  • Be able to work some weekends and evenings as required
  • Experience of WordPress would be desirable, but not essential
