The Purpose of this Role
The purpose of the Marketing Coordinator role is to support the Marketing Manager in executing marketing campaigns, coordinating promotional activities, and maintaining marketing materials. This role involves content coordination, creative input and administrative support across various marketing functions. The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring brand consistency, timely delivery of marketing initiatives and effective communication with both internal teams and external partners. The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Experience or an internship in marketing or communications
A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field is desirable
Familiarity with digital marketing techniques and tools, event planning, market research techniques and CRM
Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Marketing Coordinator based in Haddington, with some flexibility for remote work. The Marketing Coordinator will organise and manage promotional events, collaborate with sales teams to drive campaigns, and assist in executing marketing strategies. Additional responsibilities include creating impactful marketing materials, managing projects, and ensuring consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are seen as critical or important to this role.
Campaign Support: Support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities across digital and traditional channels.
Content Coordination: Create, proofread, and distribute marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, newsletters, and social media posts.
Digital Marketing Assistance: Co-ordination of social media accounts, website updates, and email marketing campaigns. Monitor engagement and compile basic analytics reports.
Event Coordination: Co-ordination of trade shows, webinars, and promotional events, including logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up.
Market Research: Conduct basic research on competitors, market trends, and customer preferences to support campaign planning and product positioning.
Internal Communication: Liaise with internal departments (e.g. sales, product development, customer service) to gather information and ensure alignment on marketing initiatives.
Supplier & Agency Liaison: Coordinate with external vendors and creative agencies to support the production of marketing materials.
Any other duties which may be reasonably expected of the job holder.
