We are now looking or an ambitious Marketing Director to join our Operations Board and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our marketing strategy.
The Role:
As Marketing Director, you'll provide strategic leadership for Hendy's marketing function, setting the vision for brand development, customer engagement, and digital transformation. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence the direction of the business, foster a high-performance culture, and drive long-term growth.
This role is flexible on location, provided the candidate is within a reasonable commuting distance of our operational regions/sites for occasional on-site requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the marketing vision and strategy - ensuring alignment with Hendy Groups wider business objectives and future growth ambitions.
  • Lead and inspire the marketing function - building capability, developing talent, and fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Shape and protect the Hendy brand - enhancing brand equity and positioning across all customer touchpoints and external partnerships.
  • Drive digital transformation - championing investment in data, CRM, and marketing technology to improve insight, customer experience, and efficiency.
  • Influence the business at Board level - contributing to strategic decision-making, providing market and customer insights, and advising on growth opportunities.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships - acting as a trusted partner to OEMs, external agencies, and internal business leaders to maximise marketing effectiveness.
  • Ensure marketing governance and ROI - setting clear performance measures, managing budgets effectively, and ensuring compliance with brand and regulatory standards.
About You:
We're looking for a proven marketing leader who combines strategic vision with commercial acumen. The ideal candidate will bring:
  • Extensive experience in senior marketing leadership roles, ideally within automotive, retail or customer-focused industries.
  • A strong track record of shaping brand strategy and delivering measurable commercial impact.
  • Expertise in digital transformation, customer engagement, and CRM-driven marketing.
  • Exceptional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to operate confidently at Board level.
  • A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (CIM qualifications desirable).
