The Role

We are looking for a skilled and ideally experienced Marketing & Engagement Coordinator to raise the profile of our services, engage with the local community, and help grow our private customer base.

You'll be responsible for developing and delivering creative, values-led marketing strategies - from content creation and social media to managing our online presence and attending community events. This role combines creative design with solid technical capability across key platforms such as Wix, Canva, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Google Analytics.

This role is ideal for someone confident in their ability to deliver high-quality marketing and communications work, with proven results in a similar role. We're not looking for someone to "having a go" - we need someone who can hit the ground running with professionalism, initiative, and creative flair.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns

Manage our website (Wix), SEO, and paid ads (Google, Facebook)

Create content for social media, design brochures, and email marketing

Act as a warm and informative first point of contact for new enquiries

Represent Sussex Grange at local events and build partnerships with community groups

Track and report on marketing performance

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a marketing, communications, or engagement role (minimum 1 year preferred)

Strong design and copywriting skills (Canva, Adobe, etc.)

Confident in digital marketing and performance tracking tools (Google Ads, Analytics, etc.)

Professional, friendly communicator who can represent our values

Highly organised and self-motivated

Experience in the care profession or another service-based environment is desirable

Contract & Working Pattern

Approx. 20 hours per week (part-time)

Flexibility over working days/times, but we prefer hours to be spread across the week

Initial 12-month fixed-term contract. While there is no guarantee of extension, we may consider continuing the role if it proves to add significant value to the business.

Salary

This role offers 15.40 per hour, equating to an annual salary of 16,016 based on 20 hours per week.

Assessment Task

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a brief design and writing task as part of the application process. Full instructions will be provided if selected for the next stage.
