About the Role
Our marketing team is seeking a dynamic, highly organised Marketing & Events Specialist to lead the planning, execution and evaluation of all our business-to-business events. Based in Cardiff, you will be fully accountable for delivering events end-to-end--from concept development to post-event analysis--ensuring every detail aligns with our strategic goals and brand identity.
This is a key role for someone who thrives on autonomy, takes full ownership of project delivery, and is comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across departments and seniority levels.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute 4 in-person events and 4 webinars per quarter
Achieve 90 event registrations per month and 27 Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) per quarter, converting at 60%
Oversee and deliver every aspect of the event lifecycle including:
Event planning and co-ordination
Vendor and catering management
Spokespeople liaison and content development
Spokespeople diary management, travel & accommodation
Venue setup and event check in
Lead management and CRM administration
Budget Management
Marketing and Promotion
Problem Solving
Compliance - ensure events meet all health, safety and legal requirements
Reporting
Work with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, leadership) and external partners to define event goals and content
Ensure event attendees align with our ideal target customer profiles to maximise lead quality and business impact
Promote events through digital campaigns, email marketing, social media, and third-party channels
Measure event performance, track KPIs, and provide post-event analysis and improvement plans
Maintain financial responsibility for event budgets
Skills & Experience
Essential
5+ years of experience in end-to-end B2B marketing and event management, from planning to delivery
Comfortable with digital tools including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Eventbrite, and email marketing platforms
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams and build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
Proven ability to manage a full event cycle, from venue sourcing, budget and supplier management to onsite delivery
Highly organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding events
Data-driven with the ability to track KPIs, optimise processes, and report on ROI
Knowledge of hybrid/virtual event technology and platforms
Experience in lead generation and marketing automation
