Marketing Executive

Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Marketing Executive for a company in the leisure and tourism industry. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for creating and managing the development of marketing copy and content delivered across various marketing channels, primarily focused on the portfolio of publications and marketing collateral, that will resonate with key visitor audiences. Your role will support the Marketing Manager in the development and delivery of a wide range of marketing campaign activity, promoting Belfast as a must visit destination of distinction.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of marketing and promotional plans. Working with the wider Marketing and Communications team.
  • Responsible for the development, production and distribution of main visitor marketing collateral and materials to inspire visitors to Belfast and Northern Ireland, incorporating Belfast\'s brand and tone of voice.
  • Manage the design, content creation, copywriting, content editing, proof-reading and production of key publications including Belfast City Guide, Main Visitor Guide and other publications as required.
  • Responsible for the management of external design agencies including administration, briefing and delivery of publications and marketing materials within set budgets and timescales.
  • Working with the Visitor Servicing team, responsible for the administration and co-ordination of the distribution of publications and marketing materials, within set budgets and timescales.
  • Support and work closely with the wider MarComms team in the gathering and generation of promotional content for offline and online marketing platforms, liaising with key partners, sponsors and industry as appropriate.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with the development and delivery of NI, ROI and GB Integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Provide tourism outlook updates, evaluations and insights from available data and research, to demonstrate marketing value and support plans.
  • Supporting the Commercial & Partnership team to increase income streams, through uptake of advertising and commercial partner opportunities, across marketing platforms, to support commercial income generation.
  • Assist with Liaise with maintaining and updating the company and partner image library, ensuring copyright/ownership rights are observed.
  • Reporting to the Marketing Manager in the administration and management of the campaigns and publications budget, providing regular updates and reconciliation.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating department evaluation reports/schedules and activity reports, to demonstrate progress against KPIs and set objectives.
  • Ensure ongoing comprehensive Belfast and Northern Ireland product and campaign knowledge is fully developed and maintained keeping abreast of all new products, initiatives, developments, events and festivals.

Person Specification:
  • Degree level qualification, or equivalent in a relevant discipline OR 3 years\' relevant experience in marketing, communications, tourism or related environment
  • 2 years\' experience of working in a marketing, communications or content creation related discipline
  • Experience of writing and proofreading marketing content to a high level of accuracy
  • Experience developing creative solutions for marketing materials and campaigns
  • Experience of working with external agencies and stakeholders to deliver high quality work
  • Experience assisting with budget management
  • IT literate and internet competent
  • Experience creating professional PowerPoint presentation decks
  • Excellent attention to detail and impeccable grammar and literacy
  • Strong administration, planning, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and juggle varying workload
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
Desirable Criteria:
  • CIM Membership or relevant Post Graduate qualification
  • Experience working withing the travel and tourism/hospitality related environment
  • Experience in a publishing environment
  • Experience of using Word Press or similar CMS
  • Experience of using Photoshop or similar
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 and Teams
