On August 1st, 2023, City College Southampton, Eastleigh College and Fareham College have merged to form the South Hampshire College Group. This merger represents an exciting opportunity for the region\xe2\x80\x99s students, offering defined pathways into employment, with employers benefiting from a more joined up approach that will create work ready employees aligned to the region\xe2\x80\x99s growth agenda as well as a fresh start for all staff by embedding best practice, resources and cultures that will deliver an outstanding college. The merged group (who will all retain their campus names) will have a turnover of around \xc2\xa342 million and employ over 800 staff. Annually, the group would be responsible for the education and training of more than 3,600 students aged 16-19, over 1,200 apprentices and over 5,000 adults.

Marketing Executive

Competitive salary ranging up to \xc2\xa327,855 per annum with Local Government Pension Scheme.

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Fixed Term until 26th April 2024 (Maternity Cover), with a possible extension.

Duties:

  • Ensure that the South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) brand and values are reflected across all internal and external digital channels.
  • Promote the highest levels of internal awareness and understanding of the digital marketing strategy, enabling colleagues to maximise their individual and collective contribution to enhance the SHCG brand.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an ambitious, inspiring and innovative digital marketing plan to ensure that the SHCG ambitious digital strategy is on target and that social media growth targets are met.
  • Coordinate the capture and collation of management information and direct feedback that is timely and accurate to enable effective decision making.
  • Develop and deliver a social media strategy that\xe2\x80\x99s tailored to individuals, businesses and the wider community, creating and distributing content for social media profiles, monitoring online conversations, collaborating with influencers, providing community service, and monitoring, measuring, and reporting on social media performance and ROI and GoogleAdwords. Develop monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the senior management team.
  • Support the Digital Designer in the upkeep of the college website using an industry-standard content management system (CMS) such as Modx or Wordpress by amending pages and uploading images.
Skills/experience:
  • Experience in social media management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in social media advertising and paid campaigns, by using social media management tools and analytics platforms (Google Adwords).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a variety of marketing campaigns, to include exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • The ability to work with a high level of autonomy, including the ability to simultaneously work on a high volume of priorities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Level 3 qualification in marketing or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant degree and/or appropriate qualifications in digital marketing or related field is desirable.
