To promote the School positively to both prospective and existing parents through efficient management and delivery of the marketing strategy, in conjunction with the Director of Marketing, Communications and Admissions.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery of the School's marketing and communications strategy
Enhance and protect the School brand, maintaining consistency across all media.
Increase pupil recruitment according to the marketing strategy, identifying where targeted marketing is required, working closely with the Admissions Executive.
Establish and build relationships with local estate agents and businesses to encourage them to promote the School to their customers/pupils.
Preparation of termly reports on marketing activities for the Director of Marketing, Communications and Admissions for Governors and committee meetings and ad-hoc as required.
Attend all key School events and external promotional and marketing events that involve School pupils.
Management and development of School website, digital marketing and online/social media platforms
Liaise with external team developing the new School website.
Maintain, review and update the School's current website.
Develop and expand use of social media (including X, Facebook, YouTube etc) as a means of communication and promotion.
Develop other aspects of the School's online marketing eg email marketing, where appropriate, keeping abreast of digital initiatives and opportunities.
Use analytic tools to report on social media and web performance.
Copywriting
Produce creative, well-written material for use in various media (including printed publications (eg prospectus), website, press articles, advertisements and social media).
Create internal and external communications and general press releases.
Editorial control of internal and external published materials.
Management of advertising, PR and marketing publications
Manage the School's presentation in the media so that the reputation of the School is enhanced and reputational risk managed.
Place adverts and secure the School's inclusion in educational supplements and 'feature' editorials in appropriate publications.
Negotiate and develop relationships with any specialist external consultants including routine tendering to ensure best value.
Ensure effective press coverage; to include identifying opportunities for stories and events, preparation of press releases, liaison with local and national press.
Coordinate all photography and filming for use in School marketing.
Project management of various marketing publications as required, including
o the annual review magazine
o design of booklets/flyers to support marketing strategy
Marketing department
Work effectively as part of a marketing and admissions team
Answer telephone calls, take messages and monitor answerphone queries specific to Marketing and Admissions.
Provide cover and support to the wider administrative function of the School as required from time to time.
Other
Preparation, monitoring and management of the annual marketing budget.
Perform any other duties commensurate with the post that the Director of Marketing, Communications and Admissions may reasonably ask the Marketing Executive to perform from time to time.
