Our Organisation

This role is advertised by ELLG Professional Services. Part of East Lancashire Learning Group, ELLG Professional Services provides expert business support services to the wider Group.

East Lancashire Learning Group is made up of three merged colleges: Nelson and Colne College, Accrington and Rossendale College and Lancashire Adult Learning. The Group is a beacon for teaching and learning excellence. It is an innovative provider; a research hub for teaching and learning, with a clear ambition to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for learners.

The Exciting Role

Are you a creative, ambitious marketer who loves turning ideas into campaigns that genuinely change lives - for people and for businesses?

East Lancashire Learning Group (ELLG) - bringing together our outstanding colleges, university centre and specialist training provider - is looking for a Marketing Executive to play a key role in how we tell our story to the outside world. You'll help to promote our full offer to employers, apprentices, adults and young people, shaping how they see us and why they choose to work and study with us.

This is a hands-on, varied role at the heart of a busy, supportive Marketing Team. One day you might be developing a targeted campaign that helps employers recruit the right apprentice or upskill their staff; the next, you could be creating content that inspires a school leaver to choose A Levels or T Levels with us or encouraging adults to return to learning or progress to degree-level study. If you enjoy switching between B2B and B2C marketing, and you love finding the right message for different audiences, you'll feel right at home.

You'll have the space to bring fresh ideas, creativity and energy, while also building your strategic skills - using insight, data and feedback to shape what we do next. In return, you'll see the impact of your work in very real ways: growing partnerships with employers, supporting apprentices into careers, and helping learners of all ages to Be Extraordinary.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Lancashire Adult Learning but will be required to travel across sites.

What You Will Be Doing:

Support the Head of Marketing and Comms in the development and delivery of impactful marketing activity and collateral. Plan, execute, track and measure targeted and creative multichannel marketing campaigns. Support the management of online communication channels, including social media and websites, ensuring all content is accurate and up to date. Ensure creative thinking for all campaigns and projects, identifying key target audiences and defining goals, conducting market research to analyse trends and identifying opportunities. Take responsibility for the production of marketing collateral, including leaflets, posters, podcasts, videos etc.

What We Are Looking For:

Degree Level Qualification in a relevant field. CIM or CIPR qualification. A proven track record of creating/influencing innovative and creative multichannel marketing campaigns. Proven track record of working with KPIs to analyse and measure effectiveness of activity and using findings to inform future activity. A proven track record of project management capability, keeping yourself on track and accountable. Experience developing, measuring and reporting on KPIs. Experience of building effective relationships and working as part of a team.

What We Offer in Return:

Generous annual leave allowance, plus Bank Holidays and closure days, and including a two-week closure over the Christmas period. Access to a workplace pension scheme - with generous employer contributions Enhanced occupational sick pay scheme and access to family friendly policies and benefits A range of health and wellbeing benefits and support Staff recognition scheme, including long service awards Free on-site parking on all College sites
