Fox & Edwards Events is hiring a Marketing Executive!

About Us:



Fox & Edwards Events was established in 2019 by Olly & Julie to deliver events and experiences which encourage visitors to embrace heritage visitor attractions.

Since then, we have been operating steam train trips on heritage railways throughout the UK. We currently work with 15 railways throughout England, Scotland & Wales providing a variety of journey options such as fish and chips, cream tea, character events and more. In 2025, we expect to welcome over 150,000 visitors.

Heritage railways need to increase their visitor numbers and so we are looking for additional support to reach visitors with brilliant content. We are looking for a Marketing Executive to help us in several key areas:

Helping us to bring new people to heritage railways! Creating organic content and managing marketing output for us. Managing all paid advertising, particularly online. Creating video/image content and compiling compelling written copy - delivering a consistent, regular and high quality output. Analysing and acting on the results of content. Assisting our operations team with the lead delivery of some family events including some travel away from home.

About You:



You'll be:

Able to create exciting and attractive content that catches the public eye. Well organised, reliable and present positively. Experienced with a range of both paid and organic social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Training and understanding on Google Ads and search engine optimisation. Excellent written copy skills and photography, both stills and video. Accurate with research. Excellent user of content creation software tools and office suites A clear communicator with excellent written and spoken skills - good at writing emails and taking calls. A great team player who demonstrates initiative and is able to work alone to complete tasks well and on-time. Calm under pressure, positive and flexible. You'll consider yourself someone who gets 'stuck in' with a 'can do' attitude. Reliable with good attention to detail. Able to work from home and equally comfortable being regularly away from home (we expect this position to lead a family event requiring a stay away from home approximately once every three weeks for two to three days. There is also likely to be travel to other venues regularly for content creation and meetings). Ideally previous experience in heritage / events / visitor attractions / tourism to bring to the role.

We will give full training about our systems, processes and journeys. You do not need to be a railway enthusiast for this position!

Key Information:



This post is 37.5 hours per week.

Working Tuesday to Saturday each week generally.

A mixture of office working in Chesterfield, home-working and visiting heritage sites around the UK.

?30,000 per year salary, which equates to 15.38 per hour, paid evenly over twelve monthly payments.

Three 50 gift vouchers (birthday, Christmas and anniversary of joining the company) are provided to each team member.

Holiday allowance of 28 days per year minimum (including Bank Holidays), depending on final hours level per year. Please note that holidays must be agreed in advance and in line with business needs.

A six month probationary period will apply to any candidate. This may be extended to twelve months.

This position is a new one in our business.
