We're now looking for a hands-on Marketing Executive to take ownership of our day-to-day marketing and help drive the next phase of growth.
The Role
This is a part-time (3 days/week) role for a doer: someone who can turn ideas into campaigns, content and bookings.
You'll be responsible for planning and executing our marketing across social media, email, SMS and offline channels. You'll work closely with the Director to agree priorities and campaigns, then own the delivery.
Work pattern (hybrid):
2 days per week on-site in Hull
- capturing content, meeting the team, understanding what's happening in-venue
1 day per week working from home
- planning, building campaigns, reporting
Occasional support for key events / school holidays (with time off in lieu)
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
Plan and manage a simple monthly social content calendar
Create and schedule organic posts for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok (and other channels as needed)
Design graphics and creatives for posts, stories and ads (Canva or similar)
Capture and edit photo and video content in-venue for use on socials and ads
Paid Social & Digital Advertising
Build and maintain Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad campaigns from start to finish
Refresh creatives, test different audiences/angles, and regularly check performance
Support with Google Ads (or coordinate with a specialist if used), updating copy and landing pages and tracking results
Email & SMS Marketing
Create and send regular email blasts promoting events, offers and news
Build a monthly customer newsletter and a short LinkedIn newsletter for the brand/leadership
Plan and send SMS campaigns, including short copy, links and basic segmentation
Help set up simple automations (e.g. welcome emails, post-visit follow-ups, birthday club flows) over time
Events & Campaigns
Turn event ideas into full marketing packs:
Social posts and event listings
Email & SMS campaigns
On-site posters and flyers
Coordinate media / influencer outreach - contacting local press, bloggers and creators, arranging visits, tracking results
Design & Print Materials
Design and update flyers, posters and in-venue materials for events, offers and general marketing
Prepare files for print and liaise with printers where needed
Reporting & Optimisation
Run basic weekly/monthly reports on:
Ad spend and key metrics
Email and SMS performance
Social reach/engagement
Make simple recommendations on what to do more of / less of based on the data
About You
You're a practical marketer who enjoys getting things done. You don't need to be a "Head of Marketing", but you should be confident owning the day-to-day activity and bringing ideas to the table.
Essential:
2+ years' experience in a marketing role (in-house or agency side)
Hands-on experience with:
Facebook/Instagram (organic and paid)
Email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo, Campaign Monitor or similar)
Basic design tools (Canva or Adobe Express/Photoshop)
Comfortable writing short, punchy copy for social, emails and SMS
Confident using data from Ads Manager / Google Analytics / email reports to inform decisions
Able to plan your own workload, hit deadlines and keep multiple campaigns moving at once
Happy being on-site in a busy family venue at least 2 days per week
Nice to have (but not essential):
Experience in leisure, hospitality, visitor attractions or events
Experience with Google Ads
Basic video editing skills (Reels, TikTok, CapCut, etc.)
Experience setting up simple email or SMS automations
