Job Description

Secon is the largest specialist renewables distributor in the UK specialising in heat pumps and associated ancillaries plus solar thermal and PV.

We are based in Sunderland and the role is 100% office-based with the possibility of travelling (events and trade shows). This role is for an experienced or recent graduate team member to replace our current Marketing Executive who is unfortunately relocating. This includes but is not limited to;

Manage and help to implement our new Secon Webshop, populating content and prices. Experience of Shopify an advantage. Craft compelling and informative product descriptions for our web shop, highlighting key features, benefits, and unique selling points. Collaborate with other staff members to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy and consistency in product descriptions. Support the development and execution of email marketing campaigns. Conduct keyword research and assist in optimizing website content for search engines. Assist in managing paid advertising campaigns. Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and messaging. Assist in managing and scheduling posts across social media channels (e.g LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments & messages. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and monitor competitors' marketing strategies. Take responsibility for managing and creating all marketing materials such as product guides, price lists and promotional images. Assistance in planning trade shows

Essential Criteria



Minimum of two years' experience in a marketing role, or recent marketing degree graduate Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven track record in planning campaigns to influence behaviour. Experience of media relations work with a track record of achieving media coverage. Demonstrable experience of evaluating campaigns and writing reports. Experience of managing digital platforms and websites . Experience using design software and able to provide examples of previous work. Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and tools. Including SEO knowledge and copywriting experience. Proven experience of writing high quality copy across a variety of online and offline channels with attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with digital marketing software.

Desirable Criteria



Experience working in the industry Level 3 Qualification in Marketing (or similar) Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and 365 Knowledge of Shopify
