Role Purpose





The Marketing Leads Sales Coordinator is a new and vital role within the team and has the potential to drive significant revenue generation from marketing leads for Heylo Housing. The role is responsible for guiding prospective buyers right from the beginning of the marketing journey, through to the nominated sales teams. The Marketing Leads Sales Coordinator will take complete ownership of the customer journey from the initial lead enquiry, through to qualifying the lead and then passing on to the various internal or external sales teams, while ensuring a smooth, informed, and customer-focused experience at every stage.



The role contributes to meeting monthly property viewing and lead generation revenue targets, strengthening relationships with customers, and supporting the promotion of our brand and proposition, all while embodying our commitment to delivering a standout customer experience.



Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications and working in close collaboration with wider teams across the business, this role offers a great opportunity for progression for the right candidate. The role is based in our busy central Leeds office.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities



Customer Engagement and Lead Conversion



Respond promptly to enquiries from potential buyers interested in Shared Ownership homes, ensuring a professional and informative first point of contact. Provide clear, accurate guidance on the Shared Ownership model, including eligibility, affordability, and how the scheme works in practice. Full training will be provided. Qualify leads based on affordability assessments, scheme criteria, and buyer readiness to progress. Guide prospective buyers through the early stages of their journey, from enquiry to internal or external sales teams, ensuring they understand the key steps and timelines involved. Maintain accurate records of buyer progression and communication using internal Zoho CRM systems.

Sales Progression and Communication



Maintain consistent communication with applicants throughout the initial marketing process, keeping them updated on progress and next steps. Respond to new enquiries within defined service level timeframes and ensure high-quality initial conversations Manage documentation and data capture to support compliance, audit, and post-sale reporting requirements. Deliver excellent customer service and build trust with applicants by being knowledgeable, responsive, and transparent.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement



Work closely with colleagues across marketing, sales, legal, and customer service to ensure an aligned and seamless buyer journey. Stay informed about eligibility criteria, policy changes, and wider housing market trends relevant to Shared Ownership buyers.

Person Specification Capabilities and Experience



Essential



Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing sales role, ideally within the housing or property sector. Proven ability to convert inbound leads into qualified prospects. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate Heylo's proposition. Strong relationship-building skills with a track record of maintaining positive relationships throughout the sales process. Confident collaborating across teams to support a smooth and efficient initial lead progression process. Organised and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple leads, follow-ups, and documentation requirements efficiently.

Desirable



Knowledge of the shared ownership, affordable housing sector or general property market. Experience using CRM systems and sales tools to track, manage, and convert leads. Experience with Zoho would be particularly desirable but training will be provided. Experience contributing to process improvements within a lead generation environment.

Salary and benefits



Salary:

26,000 + commission-based incentives

Hours of work:

Full-time 39 hours per week with the ability to work up to 60 days a year home working.We expect there to be a degree of flexibility, with some evening and weekend working as necessary.

Holiday:

25 days a year, plus English Bank Holidays
