Marketing Manager



We are on the hunt for a full-time

Marketing Manager

to play a key role in shaping and delivering how we tell our story, engage our audiences, and grow our revenue at Macknade. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, this is a hands-on role for a creative, commercially minded marketer who's comfortable rolling up their sleeves to deliver outstanding marketing campaigns on and offline. The ideal candidate will currently hold a senior marketing role and bring proven experience in delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns, knowing which channels to turn on to deliver results.

Role & Responsibilities



Planning & Analysis



Lead the development and delivery of our annual marketing plan

, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and the broader marketing strategy.

Own and maintain a comprehensive marketing calendar

, integrating in-store activations, merchandising plans, loyalty promotions, sales assets and digital content to create a joined-up customer experience.

Monitor, analyse, and report on marketing performance

, using insights to optimise future campaigns and demonstrate ROI.

Campaign Delivery



Plan, manage, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns

that drive footfall, increase average spend, and grow customer engagement at our Faversham site.

Deliver high-performing digital campaigns

that grow online sales and conversions through macknade.com.

Lead all email marketing activity

- from database growth and segmentation to campaign execution and performance analysis.

Social Media & Content



Oversee Macknade's social media strategy

, working with the Marketing Assistant to deliver engaging content across all our channels - both organic and paid.

Create compelling, high-quality content across multiple platforms and customer touchpoints - including video - that tells the stories of our producers and champions provenance.

Ensure the website is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimised

for both customer experience and conversion.

Brand, PR & Events



Act as a brand guardian,

embedding Macknade's values across all our communications and safeguarding our reputation through excellent community engagement and complaint resolution.

Manage local and regional PR activity

- drafting press releases, nurturing media relationships, and liaising with our external press office where required.

Support the development and delivery of Macknade's events calendar

, creating events & experiences that resonate with our target audiences and promoting them accordingly.

People & Partnerships



Line manage, mentor, and support the Marketing Assistant

to ensure the delivery of all departmental objectives.

Manage external agencies and third-party partners

as required.

Who are you



The right person will have a balanced approach to marketing, combining creative thinking with a data-driven, analytical mindset. As a versatile marketer, you will have well-rounded experience across a variety of channels and aren't afraid to get stuck in.

You're also a natural communicator and collaborator, with the ability to inspire other team members, manage external partners and build strong relationships across the business.

Skills, experience & qualifications



Proven experience in a marketing role - ideally within retail & hospitality, but not essential.

Experience with e-commerce websites and online advertising platforms including Shopify, Google Ads and Meta Ads, plus Google Analytics 5.

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or similar design platforms.

Good knowledge of SEO and the ability to create keyword led content that engages audiences at every level.

Experience in creating a social media strategy and managing multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & LinkedIn.

Experience working with email marketing platforms and CRMs

Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and the Macknade tone of voice.

An outstanding communicator, both written, verbal & visual.

A highly organised-multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment,

Experience with line management and cross-departmental collaboration.

Knowledgable & passionate about food & drink.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally with a qualification in a relevant marketing discipline.

Next steps



We are looking for a full time position of 42.5 hours per week and this will include working some evenings and weekends. The salary is dependent on the candidate
