Marketing Manager

Liverpool, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About the project

Osdire is an innovative online marketplace connecting freelancers (e.g., designers, developers) with businesses, offering a user-friendly alternative to platforms like Fiverr. With a talented team of developers and designers, we're preparing to launch by 30 September 2025 and are seeking a driven Marketing Manager to lead our go-to-market strategy.

Role Overview:

As the Marketing Manager, you will be the strategic leader driving Osdire's launch, overseeing a team of three (Digital Marketing Specialist, Social Media/Content Marketer, Email Marketing Specialist) to build brand awareness, acquire users, and drive engagement. You'll combine traditional marketing with growth hacking tactics to ensure rapid traction for our two-sided marketplace, collaborating closely with our development and design teams to align campaigns with platform features.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to position Osdire as a leading freelance marketplace, targeting freelancers and businesses. Craft compelling messaging that highlights Osdire's unique features (e.g., intuitive UX, competitive pricing). Lead a team of three marketers, setting clear KPIs (e.g., user sign-ups, active platform usage) and ensuring cohesive campaigns across PPC, social media, email, and influencers. Implement growth-oriented tactics, such as referral programs (e.g., "Invite a Freelancer, Get Credit"), viral campaigns on Twitter/X, and A/B testing for conversions. Oversee campaign execution, ensuring launches by early September 2025, and review creatives for brand consistency. Monitor performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and optimise campaigns based on data (e.g., user acquisition, engagement rates). Collaborate with our Laravel, Vue.js, Flutter, and UX/UI teams to align marketing with platform features and visuals. Provide weekly updates to leadership on campaign progress and growth metrics.

Qualifications:

5-7 years of marketing experience, ideally in tech startups or marketplace platforms. Proven success in launching or scaling user acquisition for B2B/B2C platforms. Expertise in traditional marketing (PPC, social media, email) and growth hacking (e.g., referral programs, A/B testing, viral campaigns). Strong leadership skills, with experience managing small teams and cross-functional collaboration. Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) and marketing platforms (e.g., SEMrush, Mailchimp, Hootsuite). Ability to work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. Immediate availability to start by mid-August 2025. UK-based or authorised to work in the UK.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with two-sided marketplaces or freelance platforms. Familiarity with growth tactics like referral systems or viral social campaigns. Strong communication skills to align marketing with technical teams.

How to Apply

Submit your CV, a cover letter detailing your experience ideally with startup or marketplace launch experience. Traditional marketing (PPC, social, email) and growth tactics (referrals, viral campaigns).

Please note that: On the day of the interview, the candidate will complete a 60-minute digital assessment focused on core marketing principles, followed by a chat with our HR members.
