About the Role

Are you passionate about promoting books that inspire young minds? We\'re seeking a skilled Marketing Manager to champion our range of picture books and YA English Literature. This exciting opportunity is initially for 6 months, covering an internal secondment.

Role Overview: As part of our Trade and Consumer marketing team, you\'ll drive the marketing initiatives for our front and backlist picture books as well as a range of young adult fiction and literature revision resources. Based in Oxford, you\'ll work from the office 2 days a week, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, including authors, agents, and marketing/PR agencies.

This role is a 6 month fixed term contract. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

Essential:
  • Marketing experience, with a focus on digital channels
  • Ability to interrogate customer and marketing data and generate insights
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills
  • Innovative and creative
  • Experience of managing a budget
  • Ability to prioritise a heavy workload with maximum attention to detail
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience of managing projects
Desirable:
  • Publishing or marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM)
  • Previous experience marketing to consumers, specifically booksellers and parents
  • Knowledge of trade and consumer market
