Marketing Manager (VOW/Staples)

Reports To: Head of Marketing - VOW/Staples

Based: Normanton (Hybrid role)

Hours of Work - Full time in a permanent position

Role Specification

This role is based in evo\'s offices in Normanton, Wakefield, and reports into the Head of Marketing - VOW, who is based in Normanton. This role has line manager responsibility for one Marketing Executive - VOW.

The role is in place to predominantly support VOW; however, the team also regularly collaborates with the wider marketing team based in Normanton as well as all sales teams within the group.

The successful candidate will benefit from a hybrid working arrangement, so will be based predominantly in the Normanton office but will also be able to work from home on a regular basis.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

Role Objective

Working within successful and dynamic B2B/B2C companies, the Marketing Manager will help plan, co-ordinate and execute marketing activity across VOW/staples brands and manage the Marketing Executive.

The Marketing Manager will support the Head of Marketing VOW/Ecommerce with customer and supplier relationships. A key part of this role is the development and promotion of the VOW and our ecommerce brands, alongside building engagement with customers and suppliers. They will be responsible for overseeing some of the activities of the Marketing Team aligned to VOW and Ecommerce.

This role will also work with the Head of Marketing - VOW/Ecommerce on marketing planning and strategy, social media, events and content marketing, website, PR and supporting new business.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Direct line management of a Marketing Executive, including setting their workload and managing their progression.
  • Supporting the Head of Marketing - VOW/Ecommerce with marketing schedules, ensuring the smooth execution of activity throughout the year
  • Managing stakeholders across the business (incl. product marketing & sales teams) to ensure maximum success of each campaign.
  • Working with the Head of Marketing -VOW/Ecommerce to deliver good content, PR and social media strategy.
  • Supporting the Head of Marketing/Ecommerce with events (internal and external), including event administration, event kit, promo gifts, communications, and social media
  • Internal marketing including updating sales teams on campaigns via webinars and face to face sales meetings.
  • Supporting the Head of Marketing/Ecommerce - with PR activity where needed
  • Creating and developing new business campaigns/brochures to support new business.
  • Supporting the Head of Marketing - VOW/staples with the development of the brand proposition and creation of marketing materials to bring sales and ROI
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Qualifications / Experience / Attributes

Essential:
  • Minimum of 3 years\' experience in a B2B marketing role
  • Experience of managing / mentoring people
  • Proficient at using Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and TEAMs), CMS software and email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent English skills, with the ability to write and critique email and blog content.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a good level of professionalism to work with multiple stakeholders inside and outside the business.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage projects on time and to budget.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work without support when required.
  • This role involves managing multiple campaigns and stakeholders and this person will need to be able to prioritise tasks.
  • Good team player. This role involves working very closely with the marketing team, Shows Communication, knowledge sharing, and openness ensures the team is working effectively and continues to improve.
