maternity cover contract

The Opportunity



As our Marketing & Communications Officer, you will work closely with the Director of Business Strategy and Operations to implement the school's marketing plan. Your role will be pivotal in managing our day-to-day digital marketing efforts, from social media to website content creation, and providing essential administrative support to the department. This role extends across Leweston Nursery, Prep, and Senior School, offering a diverse and engaging experience.

Key Responsibilities



Digital Marketing Management:

Take ownership of our digital marketing presence, including managing all social media platforms, maintaining and developing the school website, and creating engaging online content.

Content Creation:

Develop and create compelling content, including blog posts, social media updates, website copy, and email newsletters, all aligned with our termly content plan.

Communications:

Support the maintenance of the school brand, produce termly electronic newsletters and marketing emails for diverse audiences, and manage the design, distribution, and printing of marketing materials.

Advertising:

Manage our media schedule, provide timely copy and artwork to our media agency, and produce/schedule Google and Facebook adverts.

Photography & Video:

Capture the vibrant life of the school through photography and video, implementing their use across digital channels, maintaining a high-quality image bank, and managing photo consent. Editing skills using tools like Photoshop/Canva/Filmora will be key.

Press Relations:

Draft and distribute press releases to local and national media, actively building positive relationships with key outlets.

Data & Research:

Conduct market research, compile and analyse data from various marketing channels to report on campaign performance, and stay up-to-date with new digital marketing technologies and best practices.

Administration:

Maintain and update marketing databases, including our CRM system (Hubspot), assist with general administration, and support the organisation of marketing and recruitment events, taking personal ownership when necessary.

What We're Looking For



Skills & Qualifications:



Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, social media management platforms, and CRM systems (practical experience with

Hubspot is a significant advantage

). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to write for online, print, and social media. Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Creative thinker with a flair for generating innovative marketing ideas. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to follow instructions and work independently on projects.

Experience:



0-2 years of experience in digital marketing or a related field. Practical experience across the complete range of digital marketing techniques. Demonstrable experience and understanding of social media management. Practical experience in print, production, and design, ideally proficient with

Canva
