Sherborne Schools Group (SSG) is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Officer to lead and implement marketing activity for Sherborne International (SI) and the Group's growing Commercial interests. These areas represent significant opportunities for revenue growth and increased visibility for the Group. This newly created role will provide focused marketing support and strategic oversight within the central SSG Marketing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow the marketing function for high-impact areas of the Group. It is a varied and hands-on role requiring excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, creativity, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be proactive, personable, and enthusiastic about marketing within the education sector, contributing positively to the success of Sherborne International and driving commercial growth.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing & Branding
Work with the Group Head of Marketing, Director of Short courses (SI) and Business Development Manager (SSG) to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Sherborne International and the Group's Commercial ventures.
Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
Work with internal stakeholders to align messaging with the Group's overall brand and objectives.
Consciously promote the wider Sherborne Schools Group, its first rate facilities and venues, and Sherborne as an attractive rural location and hub of academic excellence.
Website & SEO
Take ownership of the Sherborne International and Commercial web pages using CMS to create and update pages, and publish content as required.
Improve website content and performance, with a strong emphasis on SEO to drive inbound traffic and conversions.
Liaise with web developers and digital agencies as needed.
Social Media
Manage and grow social media presence (organic and paid) for SI and Commercial offerings across key platforms.
Create engaging, audience-specific content and monitor analytics to improve reach and engagement.
Use content creation and editing software (such as Canva, iMovie and Adobe Photoshop/InDesign) to create quality content.
Digital MarketingPlan and execute digital campaigns including PPC, display advertising, and remarketing.
Contribute to thought leadership campaigns and content strategy for digital channels.
Support the collation and upload of content for online marketing requirements, including the website, social media and direct mailings using CMS tools.
Marketing Collateral
Produce high-quality brochures, flyers, newsletters, invitations, and other marketing materials.
Oversee copywriting, design coordination, and print/digital production processes.
Support the collation of content for offline (print) marketing requirements, including brochures/prospectus, editorial/advertorial and blog articles.
Ensure all communication aligns with brand guidelines.
Photography & Video
Commission and curate photography and video content that aligns with brand identity.
Manage visual asset libraries and usage rights.
