Bisley Marquees & Hire Company is a family run event hire company based close to Birdlip in Gloucestershire. Supplying marquees, furniture, refrigerated trailers, luxury toilets and generators across the county and beyond for a range of events from weddings and parties to large-scale corporate functions, festivals, and sporting events. In this role you will be working in our office with our Sales and Event Executive and alongside our Company Directors, as well as our wider marquee and trailer delivery crews.
We are recruiting for a maternity cover to join us in a full-time capacity, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm (37.5 hours per week) for 9.5 months from 12 January - 30 October 2026. Alternatively, we will consider applicants who are available to work four days (30 hours) per week, please outline in your cover letter if this would be your preferred working pattern.
This is a varied role and will suit someone who is adaptable, professional and highly motivated. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Working with clients, providing a personal and bespoke service from enquiry through to invoicing, delivery and beyond. Building and maintaining client relationships from quotation and follow up through to booking, coordinating site visits, confirming deliveries, and finalising requirements
Responding to new and existing enquiries both over the phone and by email
Preparing bespoke quotes and CAD drawings using our systems and following our processes
Maintaining and updating delivery schedules and event plans
Liaising with the marquee and trailer delivery crews for delivery and set-up, relaying all relevant information associated to the job
Liaising with other suppliers to coordinate deliveries and other requirements
Maintaining established relationships with existing clients
Identifying potential business prospects and proactively working to secure new business
Implementing and building upon our marketing plan, including but not limited to social media, website and brochure updates
Assisting with the organisation and delivery of our annual Open Event
Maintaining vehicle records and booking servicing and maintenance
General office administration and other duties as required
Training will be provided on the job, including training in our sales CRM system and CAD software.
Please note, this is an in-person position based at our office in The Camp, near Birdlip, a rural location with on-site parking.
