What You'll Do
Position Overview
The Marketing Specialist sits within the LAB Events, Communities and Alumni team, reporting to the Senior Manager team lead. The role will be focused 45% on alumni events, relationship excellence, programme management. The remaining 55% will cover client community programmes and events, alongside wider UK events. Occasional travel is a requirement for this role.
What will you do
As a successful candidate, you will work closely with the Senior Manager - Alumni, Events & Communities (line manager) in executing and measuring the success of alumni engagement and client community events programmes which directly respond to LAB's commercial priorities and showcase the best of BCG to our alumni and client audiences across our three offices - with a particular UK focus. You will support these activities by:
End-to-end event delivery, including invites, venue sourcing, devising briefing decks, coordination and logistics
Devising content and topics to include in event delivery and post-event comms
Supporting relationship excellence of alumni and client community audiences
Coordination of key alumni initiatives including internal and external communications
Take a data-led approach by using it to inform programme management, maintenance and reporting.
Alumni and client research and lead generation

Build, nurture, and maintain relationships with alumni and clients across functions and industries
Effective, timely communication with senior and internal stakeholders across functions and industries
Event planning and delivery
Strong project management skills in event planning, coordination, logistics and delivery
Manage end-to-end Invitation and RSVP process
Developing target alumni and client lists using CRM and run BCG 'approval processes' and respecting GDPR
Venue and supplier sourcing and liaison
On the day event support including registration, greeting alumni/organisers as needed
Data support and maintenance
Ongoing upkeep of alumni data in CRM (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics), (activation of leavers and tagging)
Event tracking, reporting and analysis
Communications
Liaison as required across the global BCG marketing function (e.g. with subject matter experts, editorial team, counterparts in other countries etc.)
Managing additional ad hoc mailings when required
Actively working to identify and disseminate both internal and external best practice

What You'll Bring
You Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
4+ years' experience in marketing/events/alumni relations coordinator role
Fluency in English - both oral and written
Strong project/event management skills
Excellent writing skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Engage, Marketo, Adobe Photoshop, a plus
Strong communication skills, resourceful and creative
Able to work in a fast-paced, complex environment, ready to jump in with solutions to problems and run with them
