Alix quietly became one of the most important people in our business.
She applied for what looked like a standard marketing role. A few social posts, some email campaigns, maybe the odd brochure. Her CV didn't stand out much. A few tools we recognised, some experience here and there.
But something about it made us pick up the phone.
We still can't tell you exactly what it was. It was just a feeling.
Then everything changed.
Alix didn't just do the job - she shaped it.
She didn't wait to be told what needed doing. She just got on with it. One minute she was filming a bathroom installation, capturing the perfect before-and-after sequence. The next she was editing it in Final Cut, adding music, titles, and turning it into a reel that customers actually shared.
She built social posts that looked professional without being stuffy. She knew what worked on Facebook and Instagram. She knew what size the images needed to be. She scheduled the content and tracked how it performed - not because we asked, but because she cared about the result.
Alix didn't just keep the wheels turning - she was always looking for ways to make the machine run better.
She redesigned our brochures. Refined our email campaigns. Rewrote headlines and restructured layouts. She used tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign like they were second nature.
And when she wasn't creating, she was thinking. Testing new PPC campaigns. Researching audiences. Launching ads on Google and Meta, watching the numbers, and tweaking the approach when something didn't quite land. Not everything worked - but that was fine. Because when it did work, it really worked.
She was part designer, part strategist, part content creator, and part fixer-of-random-things.
Internal templates? She sorted them. Signage? Done. Installation guides? Yep. Even helped out with a staff induction pack once - just because she spotted it needed doing.
She never made a fuss. She just made things happen.
Then came the goodbye.
Out of the blue, an old contact reached out. They were starting something new in the south of France - a creative agency - and wanted her on board.
She told us with that same mix of excitement and guilt. We were gutted, of course. But how could we say no?
So she left - and we've been looking ever since.
Stop - before you go any further
Let's just be honest:
If you're only interested in remote working and don't want to spend time with people in person - this probably isn't for you.
If you're just firing off applications to see what sticks - we'll spot it.
If you're a freelancer, marketing agency, apprentice or trainee, this one isn't for you either. We're not here for sales pitches.
But if you're someone who knows how to create, manage, and deliver high-quality content, who gets why brand and consistency matter, and who's happy rolling up their sleeves and making things better - then we'd really like to meet you.
So what's next?
If you've read this far and you're still nodding, we think you might be the person we've been looking for.
We're not asking for your CV on Indeed - that's not how Alix found us.
We'd rather tell you the rest of the story. And if it still feels like the right fit, then we'll show you how to apply properly.
