Marketing Strategist - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract with a view to going perm.

Are you a data-driven marketer with a passion for building integrated strategies that deliver real impact? UK-based marketing agency, Altitude Marketing, is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Marketing Strategist to join our growing team.

You'll play a key role in shaping marketing strategies across multiple clients, aligning performance data, creative direction, and commercial goals to drive measurable growth.

Role Overview

As a Marketing Strategist, you'll work closely with our channel leads across SEO, Paid Media, PR, Email, and Creative to plan and deliver integrated strategies that help our clients achieve their business objectives.You'll take a lead role in developing multi-channel marketing plans, attending client meetings, and ensuring campaigns are performance-focused, insight-led, and commercially aligned. This is a hands-on strategic role that also contributes to Altitude's own marketing and growth activity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and oversee multi-channel marketing strategies for a portfolio of clients, ensuring campaigns align with their goals and KPIs. Lead strategic planning sessions, bringing together insights from SEO, Paid Media, PR, Email, and Creative teams. Attend client meetings and present marketing strategies, campaign performance, and future recommendations with clarity and confidence. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, serving as the main point of contact. Understand clients' business objectives, marketing goals, and challenges. Work collaboratively with channel specialists to ensure tactical activity ladders up to the overall strategy. Analyse campaign data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for optimisation and growth. Support new business activity by contributing to proposals, presentations, and marketing audits. Create and maintain strategic frameworks, performance dashboards, and campaign roadmaps. Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and senior team on Altitude's own marketing initiatives and brand growth. Identify new opportunities for innovation across channels, including testing emerging tools and AI-driven approaches. Ensure consistency of tone, messaging, and creative direction across client and internal campaigns.

With the support of the senior team, you'll have the opportunity to lead on larger client strategies, shape agency-wide frameworks, and grow into a senior strategic leadership role over time.

Essential Skills

5+ years of marketing experience, with proven success in strategy development across multiple channels. Strong understanding of performance marketing, including SEO, Paid Media, and Email Marketing. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear strategic actions. Confident communicator with experience leading client meetings and presenting marketing plans. Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational and project management skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills

Experience in an agency environment. Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, SEMrush, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and CRM/Email platforms. Understanding of branding, creative direction, and content strategy. Experience contributing to new business proposals or pitch decks. Interest in emerging technologies and AI-driven marketing tools.
