We are seeking a passionate and skilled Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in martial arts and experience in sports coaching or teaching. This role involves instructing students of various ages and skill levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance inherent in martial arts. We already teach judo and Brazilian jiu jitsu and we are looking for instructors for different martial arts so our academy can be well rounded. We focus on the community and enjoyment of our students not so much competing and creating world champions.
Duties
Deliver engaging and effective martial arts classes to students of all ages and abilities.
Develop lesson plans that cater to the varying skill levels of participants.
Teach techniques, forms, and sparring methods while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
Organise and lead events such as competitions, demonstrations, or seminars to promote student engagement.
Maintain a clean and safe training environment.
Foster a supportive community among students, encouraging teamwork and respect for one another.
Requirements
Proven experience in martial arts with relevant qualifications or certifications.
Background in sports coaching or teaching is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Excellent organizational skills to manage class schedules and lesson plans effectively.
A passion for martial arts and a commitment to promoting its values within the community.
First aid up to date, Safeguarding up to date and enhanced DBS up to date.
