Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves working with different materials and tools to create and repair structures, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones to construct walls, arches, and other structures. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish materials. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and building codes. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and roofers, to ensure seamless project execution. Perform repairs on existing masonry structures as needed. Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in masonry or a related field is essential. Proficiency in bricklaying techniques and knowledge of various masonry materials. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, carpentry skills, roofing techniques, and welding is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks effectively.
