We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal therapist will possess a deep understanding of various massage techniques with a holistic approach and have good knowledge of anatomy. This role is essential in providing clients with relaxation and therapeutic benefits, contributing to their overall well-being. As a Massage Therapist, you will create a serene environment, ensuring that each client feels comfortable and valued during their sessions. Please note, this is a self employed position. We are happy to help with this if you're unsure on how it works.
Position
- Approx 8 hours per week. Possibly more as client base builds.
- Mondays, some Saturdays & Sundays. Not every weekend will be expected.
- Calne based but open to mobile work in the future.
- Some admin and shop based jobs during quieter periods.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their needs and preferences.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques tailored to individual client requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the treatment area, including all equipment and supplies.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and continuously enhance skills through professional development.
Skills
- Level 3 massage training.
- Good knowledge of human anatomy, including muscle groups and body mechanics.
- Proficiency in various massage techniques such as Swedish, Deep tissue and Therapeutic.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to create a calming atmosphere that promotes relaxation.
- Strong organisational skills to manage appointments and maintain treatment records.
- A commitment to ongoing education in massage therapy practices.
