Responsibilities - Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their health history, preferences, and specific areas of concern. - Provide various types of massage therapies, including Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic massages. - Apply appropriate techniques based on individual client requirements and comfort levels. - Maintain a clean and organised treatment area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitised and stored. - Keep accurate records of client treatments and progress while respecting confidentiality. - Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy practices. - Educate clients on the benefits of regular massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments as necessary. Experience - A recognised qualification in Massage Therapy or equivalent certification is essential. - Strong knowledge of human anatomy is required to effectively assess client needs and provide appropriate treatments. - Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates willing to learn. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial for success in this role. - A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical practices within the field of massage therapy is expected.
