Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity for a massage therapist to join our team on a contracted basis. We are also considering smaller employed roles. We are looking for someone passionate in providing massage to our patients and building their own book within our clinical practice. We are ideally looking for a level 4 or 5 massage therapists but will accept applications from those with level 3 qualifications who are passionate to learn. The successful candidate needs to be confident with talking to people and understand that their role encompasses both good clinical work and being part of a larger team. You should be able to provide a mix of therapies along with Sports techniques, in order to provide a high level of holistic evidence-informed care.

Who you are


You'll be able to provide a massage services, including sports massage and any other holistic massage (eg: Swedish, reflexology). Additional skills, such as an interest in rehabilitation, physical therapy, yoga or pilates, are desirable but not essential.

When not seeing clients, you might be expected to help with the promotion of the clinic and your services, undergo coaching and training with our clinical teams and assist with general day to day running of the clinic. The clinic operates in easy to manage 3-4 hour shift blocks and it is expected that your role will grow alongside the clinic. We are currently looking to find candidates for shifts across the week and suggest that it would be best suited to someone who lives more locally to the clinic alongside other work.

This role is perfect for someone who is confident, energetic and self-motivated with a hunger to grow alongside and in partnership with our multi award winning clinic and community. You'll need to have knowledge of anatomy, massage techniques and have the ability to advise patients on self care or the confidence to cross refer with our registered Chiropractor. We'll want you to have a basic working knowledge of how massage care can work well alongside Chiropractic care as well as their differences.

We'll pay for all the oils and sort the diary. You'll just need to sort your professional insurance and be happy to work within our Basingstoke Clinic policies.

We are currently advertising for numerous positions following a busy team members departure from our clinic. Timeframe


We will be reviewing applications as they come in. We are inviting all candidates to a brief telephone interview before a face to face interview at the clinic. As part of the face-to-face interview you may be asked to perform a brief massage, along with meeting members of the wider team. JOB CRITERIA
Essential Skills

- At least Level 3 Massage Qualification (Sports, Therapeutic, Swedish), or equivalency with experience

- Basic knowledge about Chiropractic care / Experience of Chiropractic care / Differences between Chiropractic and Massage; A proactive approach to learn more.

- Ability to work with patients who are in pain, wishing to reach training goals and/or those looking for wider wellness care

- The ability to consistently provide exceptionally high levels of customer service.

- Professional Liability Insurance

- Able to work at evenings, mornings or weekend shifts (as required and discussed in interview)

- Proof of right to work in the UK as well as massage qualifications

- Own transport / ability to travel to and from the clinic for required shift times

- Excellent written and verbal command of the English language, good time management skills and basic Computer and maths skills

- A warm, friendly and approachable personality

Desirable Skills

- Level 4 or 5 Massage Qualification (Sports, Therapeutic, Swedish), or equivalency with experience (or higher)

- First Aid Certificate

- Lives locally to Basingstoke

REMUNERATION: 12.50-30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 16 per week
