, you'll be the go-to expert for complex diagnostics and repairs across our diverse fleet. No two days will ever be the same -- you'll be investigating faults, advising engineering teams, and ensuring our vehicles are running at the highest possible standard.Your work will make a tangible impact -- keeping London moving safely, reliably, and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the
first point of contact
for in-depth engineering fault-finding and repairs on specific vehicle types. Carry outdiagnostic tests
on a wide range of company vehicles and equipment. Provide experttechnical advice
to Engineering Managers and the Technical Team. Compiledetailed reports
on performance and component failures. Develop strong relationships withengineers, manufacturers, and industry bodies
including VOSA, FTA & London Buses. Maintain accurate records and champion theMaximo EAM system
. Uphold our high standards forHealth & Safety
compliance and reporting. Represent the company professionally, keeping theMaster Tech Van
in top condition.What We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
in Heavy Vehicle Engineering. Proven experience diagnosing and repairingcomplex mechanical and electrical faults
. Strong understanding ofEuro 6 emissions systems
(including retrofit). Excellentcommunication skills
and the ability to build strong working relationships.Proficient IT skills
and familiarity with engineering record systems. Experience inbus/coach
orhybrid systems
is desirable but not essential.Closing Date: 12/11/2025
