We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mastic man/woman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying mastic and sealants to various surfaces, ensuring durability and weatherproofing. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques, safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties
Apply mastic, sealants, and adhesives accurately to surfaces such as roofs, walls, and joints
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or priming prior to application
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with masonry, carpentry, roofing, and other related tasks as required
Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation processes
Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all phases of work
Skills
Proficiency in welding, use of hand tools, and power tools
Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction tasks
Experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry or related trades is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Knowledge of commercial driving is an advantage for transporting materials between sites
Strong understanding of safety procedures within construction environments
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
