Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, loading, and unloading of materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate forklifts safely. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and a keen eye for safety and organisation.

Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of items Load and unload materials from lorries, containers, or storage areas with precision Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly Assist in organising warehouse space for optimal efficiency and safety Conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs Handle materials carefully, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage or injury Support in stock replenishment, inventory counts, and order fulfilment tasks

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable Proven ability to operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous Knowledge of materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting and manual handling procedures Mechanical aptitude or experience with construction or similar industries is a plus Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads and working in a fast-paced environment Experience in shipping & receiving operations is beneficial

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-20.60 per hour
