Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler to join our team at our Carlisle manufacturing facility. We are a proud family owned business with over a century of heritage, specialising in the design, manufacture, servicing and installation of specialist door systems. These include acoustic, fire rated, temperature controlled and industrial doors.

All of our doors are designed and manufactured in Carlisle, Cumbria, and exported to more than 45 countries around the world. We are known for delivering highly engineered solutions for some of the most complex architectural projects globally. Our doors can be found in iconic buildings such as the Royal Opera House in London, the Qatar National Convention Centre and NFL Los Angeles.

In 2023, we were honoured to receive the King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade, following our Queen's Award win in 2020. These achievements reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation, quality and excellence in international markets.

Overall Job Purpose

Offloading and loading delivery wagons

Receiving deliveries and checking goods in

Transporting materials to different areas of the factory

Restocking stores

Collecting goods from suppliers, locally and nationally

Making up and packing production and installation kits

Maintaining stock levels

Performing stocktakes

Using manual handling equipment safely

Operating a forklift

Skills and Experience:

Driving Licence (Essential) Fork Lift Truck Licence (Essential) Previous materials handling or warehousing experience would be an advantage Previous experience of operating a forklift truck Keen eye for detail and accuracy Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Strong communication skills
