Material Technician

Location: Grays
Job Role
The sampling, testing and evaluation of construction materials, in process samples and finished productsDuties
Carry out site and lab-based testing and investigations on pavement materials. Accurately record and report test results using internal systems. Maintain and prepare equipment and samples to ensure quality and compliance. Support the upkeep of UKAS accreditation and health & safety standards.Work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality technical services.
Person Specification
Minimum of 1-year in a material's testing role Knowledge and understanding of pavement materials (Concrete,Asphalt, Hydraulically Bound and Unbound Materials) Experience in the use of UK standards for pavement materials and their testing Ability to work within a team Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instruction concisely both written and verbal Ability to work on own initiativeSolid IT skills
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
