We are seeking a
skilled and reliable Material Testing Technician
to join our [laboratory/construction/engineering] team. In this role, you will perform field and laboratory testing onasphalt, concrete, and soil materials
to ensure quality, compliance, and performance in accordance with industry and project specifications.Key Responsibilities
Conduct
laboratory and field testing
on construction materials includingasphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils
. Performsampling, preparation, and analysis
of materials following ASTM, AASHTO, and local specifications. Maintainaccurate records
, test reports, and documentation in accordance with QA/QC procedures. Calibrate, maintain, and operate testing equipment and instruments. Communicate test results and findings to project managers, engineers, and supervisors. Ensure adherence tosafety standards
and company policies in all testing environments. Assist withfield sampling
, including site visits and materials collection.Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical diploma or college coursework in civil engineering or materials testing preferred). Experience with
asphalt, concrete, and soil testing
in a laboratory or field environment. Familiarity with ASTM and AASHTO testing methods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed. Must hold CSCS card.Preferred:
Certifications such as
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
,WAQTC
,NICET
, or equivalent. Knowledge ofaggregate gradation, compaction testing, and mix design principles
. Experience using testing equipment such as nuclear density gauges, sieves, and slump cones.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 37,000.00-47,000.00 per year
