Overview of Elanic Hospital:

Elanic Hospital is our new private hospital service for Glasgow City Centre and Central Scotland. Situated on Bath Street, the hospital is the expansion of the successful Elanic Clinic which has been undertaking day-surgery since 2013.

The hospital adds two new operating theatres to Elanic's facilities, one of which is an Ultra-Clean laminar flow theatre, capable of joint surgery, and means a total of three operating theatres within the Elanic facilities. In addition to the operating theatre capacity, the hospital adds ; five inpatient bedrooms, one of which will offer high dependency functionality; a daycase surgery recovery suite; and consulting space.

Elanic Hospital builds on the high quality and high patient satisfaction reputation of Elanic Clinic who achieved a 'Good' rating from Healthcare Improvement Scotland in June 2024 and has exceptionally low infection rates.

The hospital currently offers treatments/procedures in multiple specialties including; Orthopaedic, General, Bariatrics, Plastics/Cosmetics, ENT, Gynaecology, and more.

Overview of Position:

The Materials Team Member role is focused on ensuring that the Hospital and corresponding departments have all the necessary stock available and to hand in order to provide all scheduled patient treatment and procedures, and ensure the general running of the hospital. This predominantly includes clinical consumables or prosthesis stock, and may also include clinical equipment and general office supplies.

The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern including occasional weekends.

Must have stock control experience or understanding Able to prioritise workload whilst providing a professional and positive impression at all times Excellent communication skills both written and verbal PC literate with intermediate skills on all Microsoft Office packages Good organisational and administrative skills The ability to learn and adapt quickly

Desirable:

Healthcare experience Customer care training

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Role Specific:

To contribute to the effective management of hospital stock, in order to facilitate an efficient supply of consumables to all departments Ensure stock availability by liaising with suppliers for orders Ensuring the correct order processing and replenishing of pre-approved stock Carry out departmental top ups to departments and wards on an agreed frequency as and when required Provide a Theatre Pick to Case Service Receipt of supplies into the Hospital and ensuring appropriate storage of supplies
General:

Ensuring all patients receive high quality customer service at Elanic Be an active participant within the department/hospital operational excellence framework to continually deliver against performance metrics

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 26,000.00-27,500.00 per year
