Company Introduction:

Titan Manufacturing is a thriving engineering company; a one stop production workshop specialising in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, laser profile cutting and surface finishing.

With a growing customer base and orders book, Titan are looking to recruit a Materials Controller.

Job Function:

Responsible for all tasks in connection with the company's material handling; the role involves material and inventory management to ensure the efficient flow and control of materials into the manufacturing process.

Receiving goods in, ensuring they are not damaged, that they come with all the correct / required certification and paperwork, and match the purchase orders issued.

The role requires accurate and correct use of the MRP materials management system to ensure inventory records are accurately maintained, certification uploaded, and materials are received and issued out into the manufacturing process.

Ensuring materials are correctly stored and labelled and organised. Management of the consumables will also require the timely procurement of day-to-day stock items.

The role requires a professional, hardworking and honest individual who is looking to become a key member of the team. Highly organised, competent with both the attitude and aptitude to get things done. Holding the ability to demonstrate a logical and common sense approach who is dependable and understands the need to follow company procedure. You will have a positive, can do attitude.

Person Specification:

An enthusiastic, hard working team player, having a broad skill base comprising of excellent organisational and communication skills. Competent and IT literate, you must be reliable and flexible, with experience in inventory and materials management.

The role requires an individual who is physically fit to enable the handling of materials. Holding the ability to demonstrate a logical and common sense approach with an understanding and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Friendly demeanour and positive outlook.

Qualifications:

Certification and / or training in materials management is preferred. Proven experience in material handling and inventory management in a manufacturing environment is essential. Management and procurement of consumables in an engineering environment. Strong attention to detail, numerical and organisational skills. Proven experience in similar position within an engineering environment. Knowledge and experience of MRP materials management systems is essential, experience of Tricorn MRP Software specifically would be beneficial.

Main Duties:

Receiving goods in, ensuring they are not damaged, that they come with all the correct / required certification and paperwork, and match the purchase orders issued. Ensuring materials are correctly stored and labelled and organised. To use the MRP materials management system to ensure inventory records are accurately maintained, upload all certification paperwork to ensure full traceability of materials. To accurately issue materials into the manufacturing process. To support the sales & purchasing team in monitoring stock levels, ensuring that minimum stocks of raw materials and consumables are held. Management of the consumables will also require the timely procurement of day-to-day stock items. Carry out periodic stock checks as required. To undertake any other duties within reason as directed by the Directors.
