, this role plays a key part in ensuring that materials are available to meet production and project needs on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the flow of materials to support production and operational schedules
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed
Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials
Maintain accurate inventory records using internal systems (ERP/MRP)
Conduct regular stock checks and resolve discrepancies
Assist in planning and forecasting material requirements
Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with company health and safety standards
Support warehouse operations and logistics coordination when necessary
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role (Materials Coordinator, Inventory Controller, Supply Chain Assistant, etc.)
Proficient in using inventory or ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Sage)
Strong organisational and communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse or logistics environment
