Yardman / Forklift Driver & Delivery Driver

Due to significant rises in orders and level of business, Hadley Engineering Group are now seeking the addition of a yardman / forklift driver / job picker to join their growing team.

Hadley Engineering Group employs around 28 staff in Plymouth, with a further 16 staff at their sister company in Launceston, with a combined 5.5 - 6.0m turnover.

The required candidate needs to have previous experience of forklift truck work, and have had previous roles involving the moving of large items - i.e. steel section and large pallets of fabrication work and fencing in an outside environment.

Main duties will include:

Unloading and Loading of Supplier/Customer/Own Vehicles Booking Work In & Out Ensuring Delivery / Collection Notes Are Issued, Correct & Signed Preparing Materials For Coating Picking Of Fencing Materials From Picking Lists & Packing Safely For Transit General Housekeeping Of Yard, Ensuring Cleanliness & Organisation Of Materials Ensuring Discrepancies Are Recorded And Dealt With Stock Control & Stock Check Management Of Miscellaneous Parts & Fencing Transport Planning Assistance Arranging Maintenance Of FLT Housekeeping & Checks On FLT Skip & Waste Management
Skills Required:

Forklift Truck Computer Skills (Basic Microsoft - Able To Complete Basic Spreadsheets & Maintain) Numerical Skills - GCSE in Maths Driving Licence - Preferred Physically Able To Deal With Heavy Lifting Prepared To Work Outside In All Weather
This job would be a perfect fit for someone with previous experience working for a builders merchants, with an opportunity for more progression relating to despatch and logistics for anyone enthusiastic.

Mon - Thurs - 7:30 - 16:30, Fri 7:30 - 16:00 - 42 hour working week.
