Job Purpose
This role will manage the procurement and supply chain of materials, plant, and goods for the operational teams. The postholder will ensure the timely, cost-effective, and sustainable supply of materials to support productive work across contracts.
Key Duties
Duties:
Manage the procurement of goods and materials in line with programme delivery timelines
Build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure competitive pricing and reliability
Monitor market trends and material availability to inform procurement strategies
Negotiate and manage supply agreements, pricing structures, and rebate opportunities
Collaborate with operational teams to forecast and plan material requirements
Ensure delivery schedules are met and inventory levels are maintained appropriately
Support sustainability objectives through responsible sourcing and waste reduction
Maintain accurate procurement data within our internal systems
Produce regular reports on spend, supplier performance, and stock levels for internal stakeholders
Analyse purchasing trends to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives
Work with Finance and Compliance teams to ensure data integrity and audit readiness
Support continuous improvement through reporting insights and supply chain metrics
Manage and develop procurement processes for continual improvement in the company knowledge base
Support and educate other areas of the business on procurement activities and strategies for ongoing buy in and engagement.
Skills/Qualifications
MCIPS or equivalent procurement qualification (essential)
Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (desirable)
