Salaried GP and Teaching Post, (Maternity cover, up to 12 month contract, 4 sessions, must include Wednesday), to start end of November 2025



Are you looking to join a friendly practice within a large forward-thinking PCN? Do you have an interest in teaching and can see yourself supporting medical students in their GP placements? Do you live in Bath, Bristol or Wells?



Harptree and Cameley Surgeries are looking for an enthusiastic and caring GP to join our friendly, well established team for 4 sessions a week. We are already fully staffed with 3 GP partners, 2 salaried doctors, pharmacist, visiting paramedic and social prescriber. We are a teaching and training practice and currently have 3 registrars working with us as well as teaching the University of Bristol students years 3-5. We are looking for maternity leave cover for clinical sessions and teaching sessions.



We offer 15 minute appointments with regular catch up slots and a lunchtime meeting to discuss tricky cases. We have a duty system using accurx triage and we anticipate that a 4 session doctor would do 1 or 2 sessions of duty per week, triaging cases into allocated slots with other members of the team and doing a handful of calls and face to face appointments themselves.



When supervising medical students, you will be given detailed teaching materials from the University of Bristol, and will review patients seen by the students and be responsible for supervising their consultations, and run tutorials directed by the medical school.
