Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate and fully qualified Mathematics Teacher/Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals through personalised instruction and support. The candidate will maintain the highest level of professionalism, punctuality and consistency. This role requires fully qualified teaching status and enhanced DBS. The role involves working closely with students of secondary age (Year 7 to 11), to foster a positive learning environment that encourages growth, confidence and academic attainment. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher who is looking to supplement their current role with additional work.

Duties



Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Develop customised lesson plans that align directly with curriculum standards and student learning objectives. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators regarding student performance and areas for improvement. Create a highly supportive and engaging learning atmosphere that promotes curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including attendance, progress reports, and feedback.

Skills



Proven and extensive experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational principles. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and adaptability in various learning situations. Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous, enabling effective support for students with diverse needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey concepts clearly and foster open dialogue with students and parents.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple students' needs effectively while maintaining a structured approach to lessons. Must be punctual and professional at all times. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 20.00-24.00 per hour
