Telios Tutors is a busy and dynamic leader in private 1-to-1 online tuition, with high-quality students regularly ready to begin lessons with suitable tutors on a near-immediate basis.
We work with a wide range of motivated students looking to strengthen their understanding and performance in Maths and Science, from GCSE and IGCSE through to A-Level and entrance exam preparation. We are passionate about matching each student with a tutor who aligns with both their academic needs and learning style.
Unlike many tutoring agencies, we do not focus on mass recruitment. Instead, we prioritise onboarding excellent Maths and Science tutors with the intention of matching them promptly with students, subject to suitability and availability.

Person specification
We are particularly interested in tutors who demonstrate the following:
Current students or graduates of Russell Group universities (e.g. Oxbridge preferred but not essential)
Ability to tutor Maths and/or Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) to GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, or entrance exam standard
Commitment of at least one full academic year
Prior tutoring experience is highly desirable, though not essential - training is available for those with potential and strong coachability
An adaptable, student-centred teaching approach, tailoring explanations to individual learning styles
Reliable, professional, approachable, and inspiring
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Telios Tutors are also committed to supporting students beyond academic outcomes, particularly those from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds. This additional dimension of support is optional and may include:

Role description
Delivering high-quality 1-to-1 Maths and/or Science tuition (with potential for small group tuition in the future)
Setting clear, achievable academic goals and tasks to support progress outside of lessons
Writing brief weekly reports and carrying out regular assessments to monitor student development
Adapting lesson plans to meet individual academic targets, exam requirements, and learning needs
