Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher or Science Teacher to join our educational institution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mathematical and Science concepts and the ability to engage students in learning. This role involves educating students at various levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting a love for mathematics.

Duties

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students. Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing and feedback, adapting teaching methods as necessary. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment. Provide tutoring and mentoring support to students who require additional assistance in mathematics/Science. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Engage in scientific research related to mathematics education/ science education, contributing to the advancement of teaching practices.

Skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey mathematical / science concepts to students. Proficiency in behaviour management techniques to create a respectful and conducive learning atmosphere. Experience in tutoring or mentoring students, particularly those with special educational needs. Knowledge of biochemistry or laboratory techniques is advantageous but not essential. Commitment to educating students holistically, fostering not only academic growth but also personal development.
