About the Role
Oakham School are seeking a Matron to assist the Housemaster or Housemistress in the smooth running of the House. They will supervise and provide care for the pupils, with responsibilities for the physical, social and emotional well-being and presentation of the pupils in the House. In this role, the holder will take instructions from the Medical Centre on all medical matters, whilst liaising with the Domestic Team to ensure the day-to-day running of the House, its cleanliness, tidiness, comfort and health and safety.
Ideally, we are looking for somebody to work as part of a job share arrangement working either 24 or 21 hours per week, over 40 contracted weeks (approx. 32 worked plus annual leave) as set out in the job description. The actual salary based on 21 hours is 10,964.34 per annum (FTE 0.35897) and based on 24 hours is 12,530.94 (FTE 0.41026). If there is no job share appointed we shall be looking to fill the role with a full-time role, in which case this is paid at the sum of the part time positions.
