Brink's Global Services is now seeking a new commercially minded, dynamic, strategic business and people leader to build out the next iteration for the UK business. The Managing Director at Brink's Company in the UK holds comprehensive responsibility for the company's financial performance, focusing on enhancing productivity and efficiency given its significant capital investment and narrow profit margins. The MD is charged with optimizing shareholder returns by overseeing profitable growth and ensuring the secure operation of the Company. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in process redesign, system upgrades, and effective people management. The MD will spearhead the transformation and oversight of all facets of the company's operations, emphasizing customer satisfaction and fostering positive employee relationships.

Principal Accountabilities:



Develop strategies, policies and operational/commercial/marketing plans based on current and future market conditions and trends. Communicate a compelling vision, which creates a focus and shared sense of purpose and values for all employees. Own full P&L driving high performance, seeking out unnecessary spending, driving resolution on underperforming areas, and maximizing opportunities for revenue growth. Maximize economic value added through continued growth in profitable sales within a competitive price structure and through effective cost controls. Create an environment that encourages excellence and creativity, develops efficient and effective work processes and ensures the delivery of quality service. Gain in-depth knowledge of customers and their perspective through internal knowledge collection and customer facing methodologies to strategically focus on optimizing all aspects of the Brinks commercial activities, to drive profitable growth. Actively manage key accounts to develop and maintain client relationships by working directly with customers to ensure all requirements of their business are understood and accurately reflected in the delivery of service at the local. Ensure adequate human, financial, technical, and other resources are made available to meet business needs. Develop and maintain senior level relationships with key customers, relevant third parties and opinion leaders. Ensure fiscal and legal compliance with applicable laws and statutes. Oversee the compliance with health & safety objectives. Develop and execute best practices and technology to create more effective work processes, manage costs and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality service as the business continues to grow. Participate in frequent branch visits and audits to remain connected with operations and to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Ensure that all employees understand and commit to the mission and business strategies set for the Company. Be actively involved with developing, engineering and promoting end-to-end risk solutions. Assess the competence and performance levels of key management employees and ensure that necessary succession is in place for critical positions and that development plans are in place for all key employees. Ensure secure, safe, efficient and customer-oriented handling of the operations according to the Brink's standards, processes and procedures as outlined in the Business and Procedures Manual. Coordinate service issues with Affiliates, Airlines, Handling Agents and Subcontractors. Ensure that the company and its employees are compliant with local and international laws and regulations Lead and mentor management to function as a cohesive and highly focused team.

Knowledge & Experience:



Minimum of 12-15 years' experience in Senior/Executive Level Management. Extensive leadership background in the services sector, ideally with a multinational company in Freight Forwarding/Security Services/Cash Management and Experience in Luxury industry is a bonus Proven track record in turnaround assignments, particularly in operational transformation, with a background in fostering a "lean culture" and navigating challenging environments. Expertise in operations, products, services, policies, and procedures akin to those of Brink's, with a deep understanding of customer types and serviced sectors. Possession of a primary degree and pertinent professional certifications. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English and the local language. Robust analytical capabilities paired with strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
