Meat Processing Operative position available at barkinBISTRO Pet Food LTD, Kilrea. The role involves processing meat within the grinding area of the production facility.

About you;

Physical fitness - The role involves manual work loading/unloading machinery

Comfortable handling raw meat (not squeamish!)

Manual dexterity and the ability to work quickly

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety guidelines

Reliable with an excellent work ethic

Keen attention to detail

Flexible attitude and a willingness to learn

You're comfortable handling raw meat, standing for long periods, lifting and carrying, cleaning and working in a chilled environment.

Operate and maintain flaking, mincing and filling machinery used in the production process.

Feed raw meat materials into production machinery.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the production area.

Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Previous experience of the following would be desirable but full training will be provided.

Food production line/commercial kitchen/butchery or abattoir experience

Any experience of hygiene, HACCP, cleaning & record keeping procedures

Experience/training on warehouse equipment, pallet trucks and stackers

Meat/fish processing experience

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-4pm (Friday as and when required)

Full-time permanent
