Overview

We are seeking a Mechanic / Mobile Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. In this role you will play a crucial role in assembling, installing, and maintaining equipment and machinery. This position requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assemble and fit components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform tasks. Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Experience

Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings. Experience with heavy lifting is essential; candidates should be physically fit for the demands of the role. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is required. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and attention to detail is essential for success in this position.
