Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

Location - Westminster

Permanent 38 - 42k plus company vehicle + fuel card

Sellick Partnership are recruiting for a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to provide both reactive and planned maintenance task as well as replacements though minor works and lifecycle. The role is to maintain the HVAC systems. To manage the sites BMS. And to oversee daily operational of cooling towers.

The responsibilities of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineer will include:

  • Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
  • Ensure that suitable consumables are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
  • Ensure that all relevant paperwork/CAFM is completed regarding planned and reactive activities and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices.
  • Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To always include the wearing of uniform and PPE.
  • Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of the company are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site carrying out associated with electrical and all FM related tasks.
  • To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
  • Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
  • Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI\'s/SLA\'s.
  • Ensure CAFM system, e.g. Maximo, is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
The successful Mechanical and Electrical Engineer will have:
  • Recognized Mechanical qualifications (essential)
  • Recognised Electrical engineering qualification
  • 18th Edition wiring Regs. (essential)
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 (Desirable)
  • Experienced fault-finding skills in BMS, LTHW systems, CLTHW systems, pumps, motors, HVAC, LV power systems,
  • Experience in working with Cooling towers (Desirable)
  • IPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machines (Desirable)
  • Experience in fault finding of BMS
  • An understanding of the L8 ACOP
  • Knowledge of the Permit to Work system & experience issuing PTW (Desirable)
