Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Design / Project Engineer to join our close-knit, multi-disciplinary engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your design skills with project management experience, focusing on bespoke well service and subsea control equipment for the oil and gas sector.
Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design:
Utilize your knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and machinery design to design, analyze, and optimize systems and components for oil and gas equipment.
Utilize 3D modeling software (Inventor or equivalent) and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD or equivalent) to create detailed designs.
Apply design for manufacturability principles to ensure efficient production.
Project Management:
Work on a wide range of projects, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for growth.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the company, including sales and production.
Attend project meetings, communicate effectively, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve technical issues related to equipment design and functionality.
Proactively approach challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in equipment testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
May interact with clients to gather requirements and provide technical support.
Qualifications:
HND or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in mechanical design, with a focus on pneumatics, hydraulics, and machinery design.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Inventor or equivalent) and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD or equivalent).
Experience in project management is a plus.
Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
