Overview:

We're seeking classroom-based theory trainers (mechanical and electrical) to join a growing training team in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers who want to take their technical knowledge and apply it in a new way, helping to teach, mentor, and inspire the next generation of engineers.

You do not need prior teaching experience. What matters most is a strong grasp of mechanical or electrical engineering principles and the enthusiasm to learn, grow, and develop as a trainer. Full mentoring, structured onboarding, and continuous professional development if provided so you can step confidently into this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver classroom-based teaching on either mechanical or electrical engineering theory, depending on your background. Help apprentices and early-career learners understand key principles such as mechatronics, electrical systems, PLCs, and mechanical fundamentals. Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment that encourages learners to grow in confidence and competence. Support curriculum development by sharing your technical expertise. Occasionally travel to other UK sites for short delivery blocks.

Ideal Candidate:

Time-served Mechanical or Electrical Engineer. Hold a

Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent)

in Engineering. Strong theoretical knowledge in your discipline (mechanical or electrical). Confident communicator who enjoys working with young people and learners. Passionate about personal growth, with a genuine desire to develop new skills in teaching and mentoring.
